At Tea at Henry’s we love, love, love planning for and hosting High Teas. We find High Teas are a beautiful way to celebrate a special occasion, a birthday, a baby shower or ‘just because’. High Teas also allow you to get creative, making iced tea brews, matching teas to delicious sweet and savoury treats and playing host. We love seeing the pleasure that comes from the experience that each of our guests have at our High Teas.
To help our lovely Tea at Henry’s customers plan an amazing High Tea experience for their guests, we have developed our High Tea Planner. Our planner presents you with a simplified step-by-step process to ensure that you cover off all the important components to host an amazing High Tea experience. You can download a copy of our High Tea Planner.
In our planner, we suggest that you begin any planning about six weeks out from your event. You will need to set your date, time and RSVP date as well as think about your guest list and send your invitations out. You can use the Tea at Henry’s downloadable High Tea invitation template if that suits.
At four weeks out we suggest you plan your menu. Our planner gives you information on suggested food and beverage menu ideas. We have even included tips on how to place your sweet and savoury treats onto your high tea tiered stands if you plan to use them. And don’t forget, if you need some help in selecting and pairing teas to your menu, get in touch and we can help you out. You might also want to consider giving your guests a take home gift. In the past we have gifted chocolate truffles and macarons. You might like give your guests some of our teas to enjoy at home. Get in touch and we can let you know what we recommend.
At two weeks out we suggest you get busy writing your shopping and equipment lists. Doing this early means that you won’t be rushing or have any surprises closer to the event when you can’t get an ingredient or you don’t have enough teacups.
In the final stages of our planner we have given you some tips on what you need to focus on in the week of and in the last couple of days leading up to your High Tea. We find that early careful planning means that you can have a beautiful relaxing experience on the actual day of your High Tea.
If you do host a High Tea we would really love to see your photos and hear your stories on Facebook or Instagram so be sure to tag us.
